Album Info:This region of eastern Minnesota and far northwest Wisconsin that should be on every Midwest railfan's bucket list! Lots of cool and unusual power and scenic locations. I wish I had more free time and money to travel here more often!

CN 2107 throttles up
Title:  CN 2107 throttles up
Description:  After not seeing any of these ex-C&NW standard cab Dash 8s leading since they were acquired by the railroad in 2010, I saw two in one day! 2107 is one of a handful of the units to receive a special scheme commemorating 15 years of privatization for CN (at the time the units were acquired and painted).

Title:  DMIR 211 switches the south end

Sequentially numbered ex-maroon SD38-2s drill the yard
Title:  Sequentially numbered ex-maroon SD38-2s drill the yard
Description:  Unfortunately I missed the days when these were all in the DM&IR's photogenic deep maroon with gold trim, and regularly hauled the taconite trains over the road. I was lucky to glimpse the last unrepainted one, 215, working this yard last year.
