Power car |
Description: |
To assist with train hotel pover, this power car is coupled behind the locomotives. Youd think HEP equipped F40s could handle the power draw of a 9 car train, but see the comment belowfrom Robert Petit. |

Classic power |
Description: |
These units, once a mainstay of the GCRY, now mostly work in the high season. For this early April afternoon, they repose on a siding just south of I 40. I stood on an overpass on the interstate to get the shot. The speed limit here is 75 MPH, so I dont recommend it. |
