C&WC 901 |
Description: |
Glenn Monhart owned the CM&N 564 and the Atlantic Coast Line E3A 501. In 1983, Wishing to find a mate for the 501, Glenn repainted the 564 into ACL purple & silver with Charleston & Western Carolina 901 (there really was an original CWC 901). The 501 & 901 ran several fan trips over the CWRC, but the CWRC never used the F unit in freight service. Here, the 901 is south of Monroe with empty coal hoppers for the ICG at Freeport. |

CWRC 781 |
Description: |
When the Central Wisconsin shut down, FM 781 was still in Monroe. In June, it was donated to the City of Brodhead. In an unusual move, the WICT used the 781 to lead the train out of Monroe even though it wasnt running. At Brodhead, it was fired up for the last time and moved under its own power to the house track where it sits on display today. |

WICT 901 |
Description: |
The 901 is on the west side of Monroe. To match the 901, Glenn Monhart purchased Milwaukee 117C, overhauled it and painted it IC passenger colors. Why numbered 106?? Well, Glenn had two sets of number boards made for the 901 and if you turn it upside down it becomes 106. |
