Description:  A note on the back states "Grand Trunk of BN, Galesburg, IL, 6/90." This loco was one of the twenty GP40-2's inherited from the Detroit, Toledo & Ironton when CN purchased the railroad. The photo is by an unknown photographer.

Description:  Built by EMD in February of 1960, this high nose GP18 served the GTW well. Not sure if the unit is still in service as no photos of it have appeared in the last 10 years. An unknown photographer took the photo.

Title:  GTW GP40 #6400 - Grand Trunk Western
Description:  This loco was one of six transferred from the Detroit, Toledo & Ironton after Canadian National bought the DTI in 1984. It was built by EMD in June of 1968 as DTI #400. Its 16 cylinder diesel engine produced 3,000 h.p. and is coupled to a AC generator, driving standard blomberg truck. The loco could generate 50,000 lb in tractive effort. Description:  In 1984, the Detroit, Toledo & Ironton railroad was purchased by Canadian National and part of their roster was integrated into the Grand Trunk Western railroad like this GP40-2. This loco was built by EMD in October of 1972, nee-DTI 412. The 16 cylinder diesel engine produces 3,000 h.p. and is coupled to a AC generator, driving standard blomberg trucks. GTW GP9R #4611 - Grand Trunk Western
Title:  GTW GP9R #4611 - Grand Trunk Western
Description:  Starting in 1989, the Grand Trunk Western began a major rebuild project. This project resulted in 36 GP9r's. The only visible difference between the GP9 and the GP9r is these units all have a low front hood. Specs - EMD, 3/1957, nee-CV 4552, 1750 hp produced, 65 mph max speed, engine weight of 248,000 lb, tractive effort of 47,000 lb. An unknown photographer took the photo.
