Album Info:Although I hadn't slept from my overnight shift, I took off towards the MN/ND border to shoot the NS 3444 (PRR 6056) leading the U train on the Morris Sub. This was one of those times where the planets aligned and allowed something timeless to take place. So enjoy the shots of the two NS SD40-2's leading two much more common leaders on the BNSF system.

U-ELUGAT0-01T
Title:  U-ELUGAT0-01T
Description:  After backtracking to this crossing South of Wolverton, I was still in a shock to actually be watching this engine lead this U train on the ancient Morris Sub. So here we have the 3444 rounding one of the few curves with the GN codeline still standing tall.

Through the RRVW
Title:  Through the RRVW
Description:  After getting hosed for about an and hour and a half, the dispatcher finally gets the Galveston, TX bound oil train through the RRVW's yard and back onto home rails. This wait was actually a much needed break as the sun was able to slide over for much more favorable lighting.

Keystone Pimpin'
Title:  Keystone Pimpin'
Description:  Randy Hustoft was awfully nice during the chase, as he waves while some idiot takes his shot while driving down the two lane highway. I think Mr. Hustoft knew how awesome his leader was, being born over 46 years ago as the Pennsylvania Railroad #6056.

The Whole Nine Yds
Title:  The Whole Nine Yds
Description:  Actually, it was 76 cars and over 10,000 tons. The 3444 and SD70MAC were busy all day putting on a smoke show, although this is a very tame example.

The Last One
Title:  The Last One
Description:  Norcross is where I would head back home, as the light wasn't getting any better and the day wasn't getting any younger. I had to work at 2230 and barely got 2 1/2 hours of sleep before doing it all again. Remember I hadn't slept from the previous night so I could come out and shoot this! It was all definately worth it though.
