CRIP 195 |
Description: |
EL RENO OK Feb 2 1980 -- Three railfans, one a Rock Island employee, traveled to El Reno and got permission from the division super to enter the shops and take night shots. We trekked through the Engine/car shop and set up for our first shot which was unit 314. Sadly, we forgot to check in with the shop foreman. He saw the flash units and politely asked us to leave. We came down on the side of reality and beat a hasty retreat. Live and learn. GE built CRIP U33B 195 in May 1969. It was eventually returned to lessor Rockland Gamma. Note the light traces caused by a flashlight at the right of photo. (Roster information from thedieselshop.us and “Rock Island Diesel Locomotives 1930-1980 By Louis A. Marre) |
