A nice example of an Alco-Schenectady 4-4-2 Atlantic built in December of 1908, serial #45707. Specs - class D (late), 81" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 20x26" cylinders, engine weight of 183,000 lb,modest tractive effort of 21,827 lb. A large number of the D class was later superheated. No location given for the photo. Unknown photographer. |
