Description:
Tipton. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Tipton, Pennsylvania, on 12 July 1964. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #2515, #2411, and #2249. #2515 is an EF-25 built by General Electric in 1962 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. #2411 is an AF-24 built by the American Locomotive Company in 1962 and rated at 2,400 horsepower. #2249 is an EF-22 built by EMD in 1963 and rated at 2,200 horsepower. They are pulling a 106-car westbound iron-ore train along with N-8 caboose #478216.

Winter. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 03 January 1965. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #2411 and #2415. Both were built by the American Locomotive Company and rated at 2,400 horsepower each. #2411 is an AF-24 built in 1962. #2415 is an AF-24A built in 1963. They are about to pass under the 7th Street Bridge with an 81-car eastbound mixed-cargo freight train and caboose #477937. A portion of 9th Avenue is visible in the background.
