Kern. Here is an original photo by Fred R. Kern that was taken at the 46th Street Enginehouse in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 30 May 1942. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5134, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as number "342" during August of 1913, renumbered "5134" in 1915, and retired in July of 1949 after 36 years of faithful service.
