Description:  Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken in East St. Louis, Illinois, c. 1967. The photographer is not identified. Photo Caption: "EMD GP-35 #2276, 2500-hp, at East St. Louis, Ill." Shown here (R to L) are PRR #2276, PRR #2604, an unidentified Cotton Belt engine, as well as an unidentified GE-built unit. #2276 is an EF-25 built by GM-EMD in June of 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. #2604 is a GF-25 built by General Electric as number "2504" in August of 1962, rated at 2,500 horsepower, and renumbered "2604" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-55).
