PRR 6027, D-16B, c. 1911 |
Description: |
Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6027, a D-16SB (4-4-0) "American" built in Juniata as a D-16B in July of 1904, rebuilt as a D-16SB in July of 1916, and retired in December of 1930 after 26 years of faithful service. Looks to me like someone forgot to apply the hand brake . . . oops! The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. ("LaurenGatsby"; #1 of 3) |
