Here is page eight of a 15-page booklet published by the Pennsylvania Railroad entitled "Modern Cars And Locomotives: 1926." Depicted here are PRR engines #6556, #3976-3977, and #3914-3915. All were built in Juniata. Engine #6556 is a C-1 (0-8-0) switcher built in May of 1925 and retired in January of 1949. Engines #3976-3977 are DD-1's (2-B+B-2) built in July of 1910 and rated at 3,160 horsepower; #3976 was transferred to the Long Island Rail Road in April of 1928 and renumbered "350-B," but #3977 was retired in January of 1949. Engines #3914-3915 are B-1 (C) electric switchers built in June of 1926 and rated at 570 horsepower each; #3914 was retired in December of 1962, while #3915 was retired in January of 1963. |

Contemplating electrification of the heavy grades west of Altoona, the line built this experimental freight motor in 1917." Shown here is PRR engine #3931, an FF-1 (1-C-C-1) built in Juniata during April of 1917, rated at 4,000 horsepower, and retired in April of 1940 after 23 years of faithful service. |
