JB Hunt has a vast container fleet. When I started there in 1995, there were approximately 10,000 53 foot boxes, and maybe 7000 48 footers, split between about 3000 Thermacubes(700000 series) and plate side(600000 series). By 2003, the 48s were gone, and the 53 foot fleet was expanding rapidly. A newer development was these 53 foot reefers, which came on around 2011. There are only several hundred of these, so catching one is a real find. This one is southbound on CSX. |
