Description:  This the tank car involved in the freak winter tornadoes on Jan. 15, 2008. When the tornado hit Harvard, IL this car was literally picked up off the tracks and thrown at the trailing engine of it's train. The tank suffered a dented end and most of the running gear was destroyed, but the car was determined to be stable enough to upright onto new trucks to be unloaded. It is now empty and awaiting a flatcar to ride to it's final destination, the "Blue Wrench"... It's payload (Ethanol) did not leak but was kept under very careful watch by The Dept. of Homeland Security and the FBI, so obviously it is kept far from prying eyes and this photo was taken from about 1/5 mi. away, which explains the poor image quality.
