PRR 2250, EF-22, 1965
Spruce Creek. Here is the eighth of eight successive photos that I took in Spruce Creek, Pennsylvania, on 10 July 1965. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #2250 and #2305. Both were built by GM-EMD. #2250 is an EF-22 built in May of 1963 and rated at 2,250 horsepower, while #2305 is an EF-25 built in November of 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. They're pulling a mixed-cargo freight train out of Altoona to Enola and points East. Wave to the Engineman!
