PNRW 1451  Contributor's Pick!
Presidents Day 2012 and you couldnt ask for i nicer day to start a Railroad. Two Ex-Conrail GP15-1's get ready to start their new careers on this very short Shortline which will initially transfer cars between Norfolk Southern here in Gastonia and CSX in Mt. Holly, NC. a distance of roughly 15 miles with a one mile branchline to Belmont, NC. Sometime around when these two units were built for Conrail in the mid 1970's was the last time this line saw any activity. Rebuilt and painted by LTEX (Larry's Truck and Electric) in McDonald, Ohio, these units look sharp as they gleem in the afternoon sun.
