Harry Edmunds General What's the purpose of the control box since this is a ground-throw switch? Interesting photo though Fred. 10/19/2013 6:16:54 PM
Chris S General Maybe to activate a signal? Cool catch, don't know that I've seen this before 10/19/2013 9:33:17 PM
Fred Stuckmann General I never worked with one, but I've put a call out to my signal maintainer buddy. Thanks. 10/19/2013 10:04:50 PM
Pedro Rezende General Different signal control to me. I am wondering how it works. 10/21/2013 10:29:29 AM
Fred Stuckmann General From my signal maintainer buddy: " That's an electric Switch Lock. Unless the Signal Circuitry allows it, ( Signal Circuitry must detect no Trains in Block and allow at least 5 Minutes safety time), then the Trainman cannot throw switch points. Keeps Mainliners from running into open switch after accepting a "Clear Indication"." 10/21/2013 12:05:29 PM
