| Constructed by Alco in 1947 for the New Haven Railroad as an FA-1, this locomotive was mainly used to handle freight trains between Maybrook, NY and New Haven. Purchased by the LIRR in 1974, it was converted into a cab control car for use with Long Island commuter equipment, serving with numerous C-420s, GP38-2s and MP15s before retirement. |
