| A patriotic U.S. CN local crew clears Oak St./Hwy. E (formerly Guard St.) via former SOO rails as they service Waupaca Foundry, Plant 1, at Waupaca, WI on Independence Day, 4 Jul. '15. I wish could have captured a better photograph of the American flags they mounted on the cab of their locomotive today. One of the flags had become partially detached during their journey from Neenah to Waupaca, but one of the crewmembers climbed up to refasten it when they had cause to pause during their labors here. The interesting old building on the left is the remnants of the Moore-O-Matic (Chamberlain Group, Inc.) facility, a seemingly abandoned industry that received rail service at some point. |
