March 1976 and the end of the LV - pic 38 of 40
This is the last Manchester-based local crew leaving Victor. It's been a while, but I **think** they were working a Tu-Th-Sa schedule in this direction. I spoke with the crew earlier in the day at the Maple St. crossing. Had I been thinking, I would have offered to take a "last run" shot, but I wanted to set up for this shot and didn't know how much time I had. Too bad. Today is Tuesday 3/30. The same 5-man crew will reconvene for Thursday's run, but it will be out of Geneva as a Conrail DO operation. Manchester is gone for good.
