SP 18         
Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in December 1911, s/n 37395. Narrow gauge (36&) built for the Nevada-California-Oregon Railroad as #12; to Southern Pacific in 1928; to SP #18; retired and donated to the City of Independence, CA in 1955 and put on display. Recently restored to operating condition after a 20-year effort. Loco features 44" drivers; 16x20 cylinders; weight on drivers = 68,000 lbs; weight of engine = 88,900 lbs; tractive effort = 17,800 lbs; boiler pressure = 180 PSI.
