Coal Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by Eugene Van Dusen that was taken in Logansport, Indiana, in August of 1952. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6477, a J-1A (2-10-4) "Texas" built in Juniata during March of 1943 and retired in September of 1957 after just 14 years of revenue service. Note the roundhouse in the right background. This photo comes from a slide set that's produced and distributed by FJC Products of Newport, Delaware.
