Actually, this is across the Susquehanna at CP Rockville, where the Buffalo Line meets the Pittsburgh Line, on the east end of Rockville Bridge. The train-RPPY(Rouses Point-Potomac Yard)-is on the Buffalo Line, having come down from Sunbury. If you look at the far left of the photo, you can see the route marker for US 322, which runs with US 22 here-it's expressway now-and will head west along the Juniata River toward Altoona for US 22, and State College for US 322. The Buffalo Line was adjacent to them. US 15 is across the river. This was a fairly typical consist for this train at the time. The 7600 series GP 39's had PRR cab signals, and could lead on the ex Pennsy lines from Sunbury to Pot Yard, which was still an important interchange point in those days. They were acquired new by D&H in 1976, and would wind up on Guilford, who kept them after they gave up on the D&H in 1988. The 7400 series GP 39's were ex Reading units conveyed to the D&H at Conrail start up to enable them to run
