PRR 6747, M-1B, 1952         
Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Nelson Bowers that was taken in Enola, Pennsylvania, in June of 1952. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6747, an M-1B (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an M-1A during July of 1930, rebuilt in Juniata as an M-1B in September of 1948, and retired in September of 1959 after 29 years of service. The road numbers of the A-B-A set of GM-EMD F-3 diesels in the background are not recorded. ("LouisFols"; #15 of 15)
