Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in Columbus, Ohio, in August of 1960. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8970, a BS-16MS road switcher built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton in June of 1951, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service. The photographer's name and the road number of the N-6B cabin car pictured here are not recorded. ("LouisFols"; #13 of 26) |
