| Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Fred Kern that was taken near Cove, Pennsylvania, on 25 July 1954. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9644 and two more "EF" Class units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9644 is an EF-15A constructed in March of 1950. Note the "dragging-object" dectecors in the foreground. ("Tchowee"; #18 of 39) |
