PRR 6747, M-1B, 1956         
Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by David R. Sweetland that was taken in Enola, Pennsylvania, on 25 August 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6747, an M-1B (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an M-1A during July of 1930, rebuilt in Juniata as an M-1B in September of 1948, and retired in September of 1959 after 29 years of faithful service. Partially visible at the far left are several unidentified diesel and electric engines that are also ready for their next assignments. ("Stoneborobranch"; #28 of 28)
