| This is the middle section of former CB&Q RPO 1945, on display in Galesburg, IL on 1-8-2012. The "slot" or receptacle (sp?) to the right of the word "MAIL" is a slot for placing mail in the car itself, as others have told me. Does anyone have more information about how RPO's were used "back in the day"? |
