| Here is the photo on page 32 of a 40-page book published by Louis T. Henderson entitled "Trains: A Children's Picture Book Of Trains And Stories About Them." It was issued originally in 1935. Photo Caption: "'Pioneer' locomotive of the old Cumberland Valley, now part of the Pennsylvania Railroad." This locomotive was in use from 1851 to 1880. It burned wood, but could attain speeds of 70 miles per hour! |
