Technically this was a Chesapeake & Ohio Berkshire after the 1947 merger of the PM roster into the parent C&O. Built by Lima in April of 1944 as PM #1239 (serial #8461, class N-2), the loco served the PM Railway and then the C&O (never renumbered) until being written off the C&O roster in January of 1958 and scrapped in 1961. Final specs - 70" drivers (upgraded from 69" in 1947 by PM shops), impressive 245 psi boiler pressure, 26x34" cylinders, engine weight of 456,100 lb, tractive effort of 69,350 lb with booster adding 14,400 lb.
