Inbound Race At The South End
Two trains glide into San Jose Diridon simultaneously. The train on the left is a deadhead move of Amtrak California equipment. This set of cars was parked on track 8, and is being moved to track 1 prior to boarding for a northbound run. The train pulled forward through the south end throat tracks, and moves into track 1 led by cab car 8307. The train on the right is a northbound Caltrain "100" local. This train originated at Tamien (the next station south of here), and will make a brief stop on track 3 before continuing north.
