Reading FP-7 units 902 and 903 in transit from Steamtown NHP to the Woodsville Central Railroad in Salem County, NJ. The FP-7's were purchased new in 1950 by the Reading Railroad, and used in passenger service on the Crusader and Queen of the Valley passenger trains.l 902 was owned by the Reading Company Technical and Historical Society. 903 was owned by the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Railroad Historical Society. They were both recently sold to SMS Rail Lines for restoration and use on the Woodsville Central tourist railroad. The Units had been stored at Steamtown NHS since November of 2009. |
