Rye to Washington, #3 of 13, 1987
R2W. Here is the third of 13 original photos that I took while riding an Amtrak passenger train from Rye, New York, to Washington, DC, on 26 July 1987. Shown here is Amtrak engine #925, an AEM7 built by GM-EMD in January of 1981 and rated at 7,000 horsepower. In this context, it's just entering the Rye Passenger Station and will soon stop to discharge and taken on passengers on its journey from Boston, Massachusetts, to Washington, DC. Wave to the Engineman!
