Southbound Manifest After Severe Storms  Contributor's Pick!
High winds and tornadoes knocked out power, blew down trees, and the power line in the background south of here. The Jonesboro Sub. and all the trains north of Piggott, AR were halted for a while, offering this shot with the sun setting under the passing clouds on the back of the storm system. This was shortly before...more storms.

Pat Scott General I think you just liked the pink hue to the clouds. A rainbow would have really got you excited, I bet. 4/4/2007 2:16:00 AM
Zach Pumphery General It's hard to have a rainbow with no direct sunlight. 4/4/2007 2:19:02 AM
Jeffrey Faherty General hahaha thats insinuating that zach likes the same sex. 4/4/2007 1:27:58 PM
Zach Pumphery General Hahaha. Yeah, you'd know all about that, right Jeff? 4/4/2007 4:19:56 PM
Scott R. Ikemeyer General Insinuating? Flat out STATING the fact. 4/4/2007 9:08:12 PM
Scott R. Ikemeyer General is more like it.... 4/4/2007 9:25:19 PM
David Sanderbeck General Which is better , to like the same sex as one self or to love ones sister? 4/5/2007 1:25:02 AM
Tristan Garrett General That pink sky must have given you a woody the size of a Louisville Slugger, eh, Zach? 4/5/2007 1:35:47 AM
David Mead General Its quite important here to read Zach's intro and then we get a good idea about the weather conditions, and of course often associated with his home State. The hue has captured the mood of the occasion and in this case the poles and wires are a welcome intrusion to fill the threatening sky. Apart from my normal gripe on too much base to bring in the 2/3 rd's principle, this photo has expression. The other comments kind of cruel but you know you the best photographers express emmotional feelings in their photpographic work. 4/5/2007 4:16:32 AM
Scott R. Ikemeyer General I don't know much about "loving" one's sister, I'm not from Northern Arkansas. BTW, cool shot. 4/5/2007 2:45:23 PM
Zach Pumphery General What a coincidence, I'm not from Northern Arkansas either. 4/5/2007 4:09:21 PM
Scott R. Ikemeyer General That's what we up here in the more genteel part of Missouree call anything south of Festus.... 4/5/2007 4:19:39 PM
Craig Meador General What does a divorce & a tornado in arkansas have in common? You can bet someone's gonna lose a mobile home. 4/5/2007 8:37:05 PM
