The Illinois Railway Museim have done a wonderful job of restoring this engine, I am happy to tell you that it is operation under it's own power, and is one of the first GP-7 ever built as a demo, sher's back and running!!!

For clarification, the IRM collection includes several Geeps. This Locomotive (C&NW #4160) is really a former Rock Island unit. The actual first GP7 demonstrator unit is C&NW #1518 which arrived at the museum in the mid-1980s.
