Description:
CLEBURNE TX June 4 1978 -- Santa Fe RSD15 9818 re~ts in retirement at the Cleburne shops. The scrappers torch is yet to come as this alligator is used for valuable parts. Alco built the 9818 (s/n 83477) in June 1959 as ATSF 818 and delivered it in zebra stripe paint. After being repainted into Santa Fe blue with yellow ends it was renumbered to ATSF 9818 on Nov 28 1969. It was laid up pending disposition at San Bernardino CA and was retired March 26 1974.
