This 6,000-horsepower locomotive was built in 1951." Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #4995 and #4996. Both are E-3B (B-B-B) electrics built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton in June of 1951, rated at 3,000 horsepower each, and retired in June of 1965 after just 14 years of experimental service. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #4995 and #4730. #4995 is an E-3B (B-B-B) electric built by Baldwin-Westinghouse during June of 1951, rated at 3,000 horsepower, and retired in June of 1965. #4730 is a P-5A (2-C-2) built by Baldwin-Westinghouse in December of 1932, rated at 3,750 horsepower, and retired in November of 1964.
