Eastbound past the park |
Description: |
An eastbound drifts downhill toward Altoona past the park at the curve. Conrail often mixed in 4 axle power on many trains, even on heavy grades. Odd as it sounds, seeing a GP 38 in the Alleghenies was not that uncommon. Check out the Reading hoppers, many of which lasted well into the 90's in coal service. |
