Description:  This is an example of a 1927 Baldwin built Pacific for the PRR. Being late in the game, it reflected all the tweeks and minor improvements made during the last 10 years of building the 4-6-2's. One of the few photos is this album with a location and date listed on the back of the photo. Bob Lorenz gets the photo credit.

Description:  Mann. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in Bay Head Junction, New Jersey, on 6 March 1953. The photographer is not identified. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #3747, #5406, and another engine whose road number is not recorded. All are K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacifics." #3747 was constructed in Juniata in March of 1920 and retired in November of 1957, while #5406 was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in February of 1927 and retired in February of 1955. New York & Long Branch train with K-4 5406 out of South Amboy, N.J., under a shower of cinders, passing 5367 on the layover track, for a trip to the Jersey Shore." Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5406 and #5367 are both K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacifics." #5406 was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during February of 1927 and retired in February of 1958, while #5367 was built in Juniata during May of 1924 and retired in October of 1956.
