It was published originally in 1937. Depicted here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #3768 and #5344. Both are K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" steam locomotives built in Juniata. #3768 was constructed during June of 1920, streamlined in 1936, and retired in October of 1953. #5344 was built in May of 1918 and retired in October of 1955. In this painting, the locomotives are positioned under the East Altoona Coaling Tipple.

It was published originally in 1956. Depicted in the foreground is the Pennsylvania Railroad's "Aerotrain," built by General Motors during July of 1955. In this context, it's on the return leg of its daily roundtrip run from New York City to Pittsburgh and back.
