| Mixed equipment rests at the Caltrain yard north of San Jose Diridon. 917 has just shoved a set of gallery equipment onto a side track. This equipment had just arrived from San Francisco on train #236. On the right is a long string of mixed coaches and power. Buried midway through the line of coaches is Caltrain 938, one of two ex-Amtrak AEM-7 locomotives the railroad owns. These elusive engines are to be used for testing the electrification systems along the route. |
